Fun-A-Day-er Spotlight:

Inanimate object anxiety release.

This Fun-A-Day-er is drawing a household object in (water-proof anti-check fraud) pen, painting it with old Crayola watercolors, and ascribing a human anxiety to it. An effective method of disarming worries.

Local artist Gail Chavenelle is participating in Fun-A-Day Dubuque!

Check out her found haiku/poems a day she's constructing from a used cookbook on the Chavenelle Studio Metalworks Facebook page!

One of my favorite project ideas that's been submitted thus far:

Repeat of 1st grade journal entry: In cleaning out a spare bedroom this fall I came across my old 1st grade journal. The entries contained one line (usually prompted) accompanied with a crayola drawing. I regularly journal, but thought it would be neat to add drawings to my daily reflections. Interestingly, I realized that the dates and days of the week line up just like they did in 1990-91. This month I am going to look at my 1st grade entries and use the same prompt to respond and include a drawing. There are not entries for every day, so I may fill in the holes with some of my favorite entries not in February!

Fun-A-Day Dubuque 2013 starts TODAY!

Decide on your project and just do it.  It doesn't need to be cool, it doesn't need to impress anyone, it should just be something creative that you enjoy doing.  If the thought of sharing your project in March has you nervous, just forget all about that part.  There's no rule that says you have to share your project.  In fact, there aren't any rules at all!  Just do what you love and have fun this winter.
